Frisco ISD continues to be the fastest growing school district in the state of Texas. During the past six years, FISD has grown by 20-30 percent annually in student population. Within the 72 square miles of the city’s district, FISD serves residents of Collin and Denton Counties including residents of Frisco, and some portions of Plano, Little Elm and McKinney.
Frisco is one of the fastest growing cities in the North Texas Region as determined by the North Texas Council of Governments. With a 2000 census of 33,714, Frisco has grown 449 percent since the 1990 census population figure of 6,138. By November 2005, our population soared to 81,229 residents, and as of February 1st, 2013 130,020 people call Frisco home.
